Dili, 10 February 2026 – The International Telecommunication Union (ITU), in collaboration with the Autoridade Nacional de Comunicações (ANC, I.P.), facilitated technical assistance for the technical regulatory officials of ANC, I.P. in relation to the Preliminary Mission on the Update of the National Table of Frequency Allocation (NTFA) of Timor-Leste, held at the ANC Meeting room in Caicoli, Dili.
The technical assistance was conducted over two days, from 10 to 11 February 2026, with the objective of supporting the update of the National Table of Frequency Allocation (NTFA). This initiative aims to ensure compliance with the Radio Regulations and alignment with the global regulatory framework of the ITU, strengthen national spectrum management, promote efficient and sustainable spectrum utilization, prevent harmful interference, and accommodate emerging technologies within the telecommunications sector.
The technical assistance was delivered by Mr. Syed Aamir Riaz, representing ITU in his capacity as Programme Officer for Asia and the Pacific.
The activity was officially opened by the Chairman of ANC, I.P., Mr. Flávio Cardoso Neves, and attended by the Technical Director, Mr. Novelino dos Santos, together with the Finance Director, Ms. Georgina Emilia da Silva Garcia.
