Elected by the Council of Ministers, the board of directors is made up of three executive directors and two non-executive directors. The executive directors comprise a chair director, a technical director and a finance director. The executive directors work for the daily operation of the ANC. In addition, the board also encompasses two non-executive directors, which are chosen externally and are considered to be independent from the ANC operation. The role of the board is to monitor the ANC's operation, acting as an advocate for the Government of Timor-Leste. In essence, the board of directors tries to make sure that the statutory interests of the ANC are well served.
