The First National ICT Conference
[ TL-ICT 2014 ]

The First National ICT Conference is a national level initiative for a platform to discuss issues, priorities and strategies on the use of information and communications technologies as a catalyst for national development.
The conference will bring together CIOs, directors and managers from various government institutions and other stakeholders from academia and greater ICT community to exchange views on topics of interests in the business of enhancing productivity and efficiency in public service delivery.
The conference will also present several insightful talks on topics ranging from the roll out of ICT infrastructure to the innovative use of ICT for development.
More generally, the objectives of this conference are:
- To better understand the state-of-the-art in the use of ICT across Timor-Leste’s government institutions.
- To discuss the requirements and challenges in the deployment of ICT for public service delivery.
- To discuss the policy vision on the roles of the ICT in the national development of Timor-Leste.
The conference will also allow private sectors and the broader ICT community the opportunity to understand the Government’s direction in ICT development and deployment.
