Today, the ANC launched a new consumer protection desk for customers of telecommunication and Internet service providers in Timor-Leste.
The Consumer Protection Desk will help customers of telecommunication and Internet services who have unresolved grievances to report their complaints to the ANC. The ANC will then initiate a dispute resolution case about the complaint with the relevant service provider.
To be assisted by the ANC Consumer Protection Desk, consumers are required to raise their complaint with their service provider first and to allow their service provider a reasonable time to respond. If the consumer does not receive a response after 15 working days since making the complaint or else if the consumer is not happy with the outcome, the ANC can intervene.
The ANC Consumer Protection Desk can be contacted on 331 1415 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
